Michael Allen’s release of his new hit singles “We Need Us” and “Cowgirl Touch” begins the first musical offerings of his country magnum opus “I’ll Miss Being Your Ten”, and displays his potential of being considered one of country music’s newest sensations. As a singer-songwriter-guitarist-producer, he has a plethora of influences that include important country, rock, pop, and blues icons, which allows him the versatility to have performed on projects from Disney to Motown. His eclectic country style, like a transformative form of art, allows this profound new artist’s music compositions, to further the canvas of country music’s influence worldwide and permits him the privilege of performing in a wide array of venues when beckoned.
Michael has spent years doing session work and honing his composing and producing skills working with one of Nashville’s finest, and long time friend, Spectra Record Group Artist-Producer Charles “King C” Glenn. His former group “Ozone” under the Motown label, recorded and toured with Lionel Ritchie, Teena Marie, Luther Vandross, DeBarge, The “Fifth Beatle” Billy Preston, Sammy Davis Jr, including his personal current twenty-five year gig with Little Richard to name a few. Charles has some musical contributions on both of Michael’s new singles recently released on ITunes January 7, 2014, along with contributions from extraordinary keyboardist, and long time friend Rodney “Spanky” Thomas, who’s recording-touring-performance portfolio consists of John Cougar Mellencamp, Fergie, Brownstone, Stewart Copeland (The Police), and Miles Davis among others.
Michael Allen’s musical artistry succeeds at fusing exquisite melodies that erupt with rousing infectious hooks and “must sing choruses”. Most striking is a display of lyrical maturity in his songs that beautifully express true-to-life intimacies for those who intend, or have couraged love in heart, mind, body, and soul. The music world has a new profound voice who’s country roots began on a humble farm in Washington State and “like a timely word”…Michael Allen’s music is “like a kiss to the lips”!
